sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946 as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He's the oldest son of Francesco Stallone Jr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother is an actor musician and hairdresser. Complications during childbirth caused the lower left portion of Sylvester's face disabled, giving him the iconic "snarling" face and slight slurred voice. Due to the volatile parent-child relationship, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. They separated later. Stallone took classes in drama at the American College in Switzerland before making the move to the University of Miami. He left school before having completed his studies and relocated to New York City to pursue acting as a career.
