Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson, a Golden Globe Award-winning actress, and a two-time Olivier Award recipient, made her Broadway debut in the role of Jake Gyllenhaal in Nick Payne's Constellations. Her most well-known role is her role as Alison Lockhart in the Showtime series "The Affair" (Golden Globe Award). The credits on her film include The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, Suite FranASSaise, Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger, and Anna Karenina. She was awarded Olivier Awards for Best Actress for Anna Christie opposite Jude Law and Best Supporting actor on A Streetcar Named Desire opposite Rachel Weisz, both at the Donmar Warehouse. The National Theatre Nominated her for the Olivier Award as Best Actress in Hedda Gabrieller. On television, Wilson starred in the acclaimed BBC Series "Luther," which was nominated for 8 Emmy Awards. In the BBC mini-series "Jane Eyre," she received nominations from both Golden Globes and BAFTAs, as Best Lead actor. The actress made her debut as a performer on the London theatre stage in the year 2007 during the National Theatre's production of Maxim Gorky's Philistines, and starred in the Almeida Theatre adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's Through a Glass Darkly.
