Niykee's personal highlights include being selected by a scout to join Snoop at the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, and writing songs, despite the turbulence in the last couple of years. The singer-songwriter is fascinated by Niykee. She constantly checks out the new beats. A lot of them inspire song ideas. "I'll be able tell within 5 minutes if this is a quality beat. When I've got a melody in my brain, I will start writing straight away." While I play the guitar outside on my porch, words start to flow. Most of the time it is accomplished in about 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her talents as a writer and the lyricist. She says that her experiences of suffering in the past can be a source of unusual inspiration. It's difficult to escape the painful memories of my youth, especially losing my younger sister. They end up being integrated into her music. The memories influence my songs and helps to create this greater meaning under everything which is one the most important things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I can listen to any of my songs 20 years down the road and be proud of what I had to say.
