LeBron Raymone James Sr. born on the 30th of December, 1984 is an American professional basketball player who represents the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). King James, he's widely regarded to be the greatest player of all-time and often compared Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketballer ever. James has won two Olympic gold medals as well as four NBA titles. James has the world record of the highest number of points scored in the post-season, second best total career point total and seventh highest number of career assists. He has been selected an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times and for the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He was the 3rd player to play in the NBA Finals. Eight of the games were in consecutive order from 2011 through 2018. James was picked as a part of the NHL75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became the first NBA player ever to score more than 10,000 career points. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his home town of Akron Ohio and was heavily advertised by national media as a potential NBA superstar. In preparation for his professional career it was the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the first pick overall during the NBA draft of 2003. In 2004, he received the title of NBA Rookie. He quickly was one of the league's best players and was awarded the NBA MVP in both 2009 & the year 2010. James was a free agency following his failure to earn championships in Cleveland. The decision to leave Cleveland in order to join Miami Heat, announced on the show on television The Decision, is considered one of the controversial free-agent actions in sports history.
